Free Reading List

Start reading ASAP to improve your IELTS & PTE score.

A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies.

The 5 Finger Rule

Open a book on any page and read it. How many new words are there?

0-2 - Too easy

3-5 - Perfect

5-8 - Challenging (if the topic interests you then try it)

8-15 - Difficult (you may not enjoy or finish it)

Tips

  • When beginning to read, read children’s books with pictures and easy sentence structures.
  • Read books on topics that interests you.
  • Highlight new vocabulary and look it up later.
  • Don’t highlight every new word. Try to understand the meaning from context.
  • Make reading a habit. Read a few pages every day.
  • Read aloud to work on pronunciation.
  • When preparing for the IELTS & PTE exam start reading ASAP. You won’t improve your reading skills only completing IELTS & PTE past test papers.
